Joellyn Duesberry, who earned a BA and MA in art history, was given a NEA Grant in Painting in 1986. Since then she has won numerous awards, including the Benjamin Altman Prize for Landscape Painting at the National Academy's 173rd Annual Exhibition, New York. Her work is in many private, corporate and museum collections. Her book, "A Covenant of Seasons," a collection of Duesberry's monotypes with poems by Pattiann Rogers, was recently published.
Her education included: Master Classes with New York Studio School's Graham Nickson, and Joe Santorre (1996-2000); New York Studio School Drawing Marathons (1994-1995); periodic study, New York, at National Academy of Design, Art Students League, and New York Academy (1966-1984); New York University, Institute of Fine Arts, MA (1967); and Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H. (1966)
